Confused by the difference between men’s eau de toilette, cologne and aftershave?
The various different names, some found in both men’s and women’s fragrances, give a clue to the fragrances strength. After pure perfume oil, eau de parfum has the highest fragrance oils (8 – 15%), then eau de toilette (4 – 8%), eau de cologne (2 – 5%) and finally aftershave (1 – 3%). Put your fragrance on your ‘pulse points’ like your neck, wrist or chest.Aftershave, containing the least perfume oils, scent last the shortest. Aftershaves have been formulated to be calming and cooling to help soothe the skin after a shave.
