3 Steps for Applying Faux Lashes Like A Pro

We’re not kidding — our technique (and tips!) came straight from mark. Celebrity Makeup Artist Kelsey Deehiham. Work up some patience and follow these steps.

How to Use:

Step 1: Size
Take the lash (“I like to hold it with a pair of tweezer, so I can have a bit more control over it.” Kelsey says) and gently place it along your lash line to measure. The strip should span from the outer corner of your eye to the spot where your natural lashes end, close to the inner corner.

TIP: Use a pair of manicure scissors to snip off the option of the faux lash that’s too long for your lash line.

Step 2: Prep
Dab Adhesive along the strip. “You don’t want too much glue — just enough to cover it.” Kelsey says.

TIP: Wait 30 seconds for the glue to become tacky before applying.

Step 3: Place
Gently lay down the lash, starting at the outer corner of the eye and working toward the inner corner. “Try to place the strip right at the root of your lashes where your eyelid meets the lash line.” Kelsey says.

TIP: Use tweezers to hold the lash as you adhere it, this will help get the strips as close as possible to your natural lash line.

Before you apply …
“When removing the lashes from the packaging, don’t like and pull the lash from just one corner.” cautions Kelsey. “You risk bending the strip that way.”
