Zika virus is a disease that’s spread through mosquito bites. In pregnant women, it may cause subsequent birth defects. The CDC has issued an alert for travel to areas where Zika virus is spreading. Travelers who are pregnant or considering pregnancy should consult a doctor. cdc.gov/zika
Prevent Zika by avoiding mosquito bites. Mosquitoes that spread Zika virus bite mostly during the daytime. Mosquitoes that spread Zika virus also spread dengue and chikungunya viruses. Use Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered insect repellents. Both Avon Bug Guard collections, one with the active ingredient of Picaridin and the other IR3535, are registered with the EPA.
As Seen in REAL SIMPLE Magazine Did You Know? Both collections repel mosquitoes, deer ticks, gnats, no-see-ums, sand flies and biting midges. Read and follow label directions and precautions.
DEET-FREE Use dawn, dusk and at night, when mosquitoes are most active.
