The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) 3-1-1 Liquids Rule states that when going through airport security checkpoints in the United States, you are allowed to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams, and pastes in your carry-on bag. These items should be in travel-sized containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item. The purpose of the quart-sized bag is to facilitate the screening process since it allows security officers to quickly inspect the liquids. It’s important to place the bag separately from your carry-on baggage in the screening bin. Remember to check the airline’s guidelines regarding the allowed sizes for liquids and pack your travel-sized products accordingly.
